The workshop aimed to equip journalists in Trinidad & Tobago with the essential knowledge, skills, and ethical guidelines necessary for responsible and effective election reporting, it stated.

Commencing on August 6, the project was a collaborative effort between the Trinidad and Tobago Publishers & Broadcasters Association (TTPBA) and the Media Institute of the Caribbean (MIC). Over three days, the workshop covered crucial topics including fact-checking and debunking misinformation, covering election campaigns, and utilising digital tools and social media in election reporting.
