ACTING Director of Public Prosecutions Sabrina Dougdeen-Jaglal is ordering an inquest into the death of 27-year-old Michael Angelo Francis.
Francis died after sustaining a single stab wound to the chest on October 5, stated a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Monday.
He succumbed to his injuries at the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
The release stated Dougdeen-Jaglal ordered the inquest on October 10.
The TTPS stated a female suspect was held in connection with the incident but was released pending the findings of the inquest.
Investigations were supervised by acting ASP Ramjag, Acting Inspectors Stanislaus, Seecharan and Ramsumair, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigation (HBI), Region One, together with various agencies.
