HIGH Commissioner of India to Trinidad and Tobago Dr Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit met with the Minister of Energy Dr Roodal Moonilal to further discuss energy cooperation.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ head office, Port of Spain on Monday with Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Dr Roodal Moonilal and Minister in the Ministry Ernesto Kesar.
In a media release on Thursday, the ministry stated, “The discussions centred around enhancement of bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and India with key focus on energy cooperation. Among the areas discussed were the Global Biofuels Alliance and International Solar Alliance.”
The visit concluded with both Energy Ministers and the High Commissioner expressing optimism towards working together on promoting the well-being of citizens and strengthening ties between both countries.
The meeting comes three weeks after India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to Trinidad in early July.
