THE Licensing Division is currently experiencing a high volume of persons seeking to transfer vehicles.

This increase is primarily due to individuals who did not complete their vehicle transfers within the required legal timeframe, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation stated in a media release on Friday.

The ministry is reminding the public that vehicle ownership transfers must be completed promptly in accordance with the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chap. 48:50, to avoid delays, congestion at licensing offices and potential legal consequences.

The ministry thanked the public for its patience and cooperation as efforts continue to manage service delivery during the period.
