JAMIACAN Chris Gayle has opted out of the 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
He opted out in the eve of the players’ draft which will take place on Wednesday.
According to ESPN Cricinfo, Gayle communicated his decision to the St Lucia Zouks on Monday. He was going to play with them in this year’s CPL which is scheduled to take place in Trinidad and Tobago from August 18 to September 10.
Gayle has said he had pulled out citing personal reasons. He said due to the Covid-19 restrictions he has not been able to see his girlfriend and daughter who are in St Kitts.
