HINDUS pray to Lord Ganesh to remove all obstacles in their lives.
This was the reminder by Chaguanas West MP Dinesh Rambally at Santan Dharma Maha Sabha Munroe Road Hindu Shiv Mandir on Tuesday.
He said, “People who worship during this Utsav period witness an immediate and powerful presence of Lord Ganesh in their lives.”
Rambally said that Hindus pray to Lord Ganesh to remove obstacles and to assist them in restructuring their lives so that they follow the dharmic path and eventually join in eternal union with the Supreme Lord.
The MP joined pandits in chanting the Sri Ganesh Atharvashirsha, a powerful hymn dedicated to the Elephant God.
Thousands of Hindus across Trinidad commenced devotion towards their beloved elephant-headed God, Lord Ganesh on Tuesday.
This period of daily worship and festivities commonly called Ganesh Utsav was heralded with great pomp and ceremony at the Hindu Shiv Mandir with officiating Pandit Navin Omadath Maharaj.
Rambally recalled that this congregational started with small celebrations but became one of the largest Hindu Festival in the country and region.
He added that the manner of worship makes it more inspiring and easy to perform.
