A Galil Ace Sar 7.62 calibre rifle and ammunition has been seized by police on Thursday in Santa Cruz.
A Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) release on Friday stated the anti-crime exercise was conducted by officers of the North Eastern Division between 3.45 pm and 6 pm on Thursday.
Upon receiving information, police proceeded to Orangefield Road, La Pastora Road, Upper Santa Cruz at a chicken coop, where they found a black plastic bag containing one Galil Ace Sar 7.62 calibre rifle, one magazine and 30 rounds of 7.62 ammunition.
Officers took possession of the illegal items while PC Manna is continuing enquiries.
