FORECAST: Sunshine will likely be interrupted by a few partly cloudy/cloudy intervals with showers over few areas. There is also a low – medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Tonight will be generally fair apart from isolated showers.
Caution: The threat of street flooding and gusty winds will be present. There is also a lower chance of the isolated flash flooding event.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) continues to monitor the progress of an active tropical wave (TW) located approximately 1,930km east of the Lesser Antilles.
While the system does not pose any direct threat to T&T, there is a low chance of isolated flash floods, and the public should be alerted for street flooding and gusty winds.
The Met Office stated that it will continue to closely monitor these systems and will issue an update at 2pm today or earlier, if the situation warrants.
