A HUMAN foetus measuring about three inches was found just outside the San Fernando General Hospital over the weekend.
Reports are that on Saturday, around 4.30 pm, a security officer informed police officers at the nearby San Fernando Police Station that he saw what appeared to be a foetus on the northern side of the pavement near the security booth in a box.
Upon arrival at the scene, PC’s Lange and Koon Koon, along with District Medical Officer Dr Ramrattan observed the small pink foetus and upon confirmation that it was in fact the remains of a human foetus, crime scene investigators were contacted.
The foetus was removed by Guides Funeral Home for storage and safekeeping, pending an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre.
WPC Charles is continuing inquiries.
