THE festival of Divali, one of the most significant festivals in Hindu culture, transcends cultural boundaries, as it promotes values of unity and the spirit of giving.
This is according to Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Farley Augustine who issued brief Divali greetings on Wednesday.
He said, “Divali contributes to a strong sense of togetherness among our nation, and is a powerful unifier of our people, an example of the light we emit when we transcend our differences.”
Augustine also said, “Let us remember that the day not only serves as a reminder of hope for us as a people, it also highlights the importance of relationships in our lives.”
