Retired Deputy Commissioner of Police Maurice Piggott passes away on Monday morning.
Piggott, 68, died at the St Augustine Private Hospital around 6.20 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, two children and one grand-daughter.
In a release the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that the current acting DCP (Crime) Harold Phillip described his predecessor as a dedicated, courageous and exemplary officer, who stood for the highest ideals of the organisation and pursued a distinguished and stellar career in the TTPS
Piggott served in the TTPS from 1971 to 2012.
