ENERGY Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal has met with EOG Resources Ltd.
Dr Moonilal, along with Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries Ernesto Kesar, met with executives from EOG Resources on Monday at the ministry’s head office at the International Waterfront Complex, Port-of-Spain.
Also attending from the ministry’s side was Permanent Secretary Penelope Bradshaw-Niles.
The EOG Resources delegation included Managing Director George Vieira, Managing Counsel Lisa Gosine-Alleyne and External Affairs Manager Denesh Ramnarace.
At the meeting, EOG Resources highlighted their company’s history and milestones since operating in Trinidad and Tobago for over 30 years. Vieira spoke on the company’s current operations and reaffirmed its commitment to continued investment and safe, efficient offshore development, a release from the ministry on Thursday stated.
The company also shared details on its upcoming exploration plans and ongoing contributions to the economic growth of Trinidad and Tobago in eight areas, including Blocks NCMA 4(a) and Lower Reverse L, which are two Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) awarded in January 2025.
Dr Moonilal reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with key energy production stakeholders such as EOG Resources.
EOG Resources was commended for its consistent performance and contribution to the local gas value chain. Dr Moonilal encouraged the company to continue identifying opportunities to optimise production while maintaining its high standards of safety and operational excellence.
Both the ministry and EOG Resources reaffirmed their mutual interest in working closely to ensure continued progress in the energy sector.
The two parties expressed a shared commitment to ongoing collaboration to unlock further value from Trinidad and Tobago’s hydrocarbon resources.
