Enrollment Continues for 1st Year Infants

THE Ministry of Education is continuing enrolment for first-year infant students for the 2025/2026 academic year through its online system, FIRSTT.

The Ministry of EducationIn via media release on Friday stated the registration platform, launched February 17, which allows parents to apply to all 452 government and government-assisted primary schools. The application and school selection phases have ended, and enrolment began on Tuesday, parents have until May 23 to complete the process.

From May 24, those who were not admitted to any selected schools or who missed the initial deadline can apply to schools with available spaces in a residual phase.

A live webinar will be held on Monday, May 19, from 4pm to 5.15 pm to guide parents through the process. Registration is available at https://shorturl.at/sfVcD.

As of Thursday, the enrolment rate through the FIRSTT portal stands at 40.3%, representing 6,743 students enrolled within the last 72 hours.

Minister of Education Dr Michael Dowlath said the Ministry remains committed to equity and access, with School Supervisors actively assisting families.
