Energy Chamber Extends Condolences to Divers’ Families

THE Energy Chamber has extended condolences to the family members of four underwater divers doing work on a pipeline offshore.

In a short press release on Monday, the chamber stated, “The Energy Chamber of Trinidad & Tobago expresses its deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of Fyzal Kurban, Rishi Nagassar, Yusuf Henry and Kazim Ali Jr., who tragically lost their lives while conducting work at the Paria Fuel Trading Company Berth no. 6, Pointe-a-Pierre on behalf of LMCS Ltd.

“Our thoughts are with their families at this very difficult time. Our thoughts are also with Christopher Boodram, who managed to survive this tragic incident but who has endured a horrific experience.”

On Monday, Energy Minister Stuart Young announced that an independent investigation will be launched into the unfortunate incident.
