SEVERAL counties have shown an incremental increase in Covid-19 cases across the country.
This according to Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds at the Virtual media conference of the Ministry of Health on Monday.
He said, “In several counties, over three weeks or so, there was an incremental increase in cases.”
Dr Hinds described this trend as a cause for concern.
“We don’t want the number of cases to be creeping up, and that we don’t get fatigued in the adherence to the guidelines, but stick to the recommended behaviors so there are no increases at the community or county level.”
He urged all communities to have activities within the confinements of the laws and public health restrictions to reduce the potential spread of any variant inclusive of the Delta.
Dr Hinds identified May as the recording the highest number of Covid-19 cases.
He said, “This followed by June where we had a decline from May to June and in July, there were similar numbers in cases from day to day, from July, August to September
Dr Hinds said that the increase of movement for economic activity, an increase in vaccination levels, while keeping certain restrictions in place such as reducing gathering size and upholding the three Ws.
