DOWN Syndrome self-advocate Lisa Soyer led the opening of Claudia Pegus Couture at Fashion With Us fashion show.
The Down Syndrome Family Network (DSFN) hosted its 2nd ‘Fashion With Us’ show on May 31 at the Hyatt between 5 pm to 8pm.
Guests were treated to a night of glamour and purpose, first with a pre-show by Detours in the cocktail reception followed by the grand show in the Ballroom.
Fashion With Us highlighted some of the country’s top designers as other self-advocates strutted the runway in designs from Zadd & Eastman, Charu Lochan Dass, Ecliff Elie, Flux by Elizabeth Lucas, Lisa Faye Silks, Radical Designs, Sew Lisa and The Cloth.

They were also joined on stage by 2024 Miss World delegates and celebrity guests.
All models were also treated with hairstyles by Bally and makeup by Sacha Cosmetics.
The show was produced by Creative Director Richard Young, Lisa Ghany and Diane Hunte of DSFN.
On Friday, the organisation expressed gratitude to all their sponsors who made Fashion With Us a success. On their Facebook page, they said, “Your generosity and belief in inclusion helped us challenge stereotypes and showcase true beauty on the runway.”
