A 33-year-old Diego Martin man is expected to appear in court to answer charges of sexual assault and drugging of a female minor.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that the suspect, a joiner, was arrested on July 18 after a comprehensive investigation into a report surrounding the alleged assault and drugging of the 15 year old.
During the period April 2020 to July 2020, she alleged she was forced to have sexual intercourse with the man at his home and smoke marijuana on two occasions.
The report was investigated after which the suspect was held.
On Tuesday, he was charged with four counts of sexual penetration of a child and two counts of giving narcotics to a child.
