ALMOST one year after the body of Andrea Bharatt was discovered, another young woman’s body was found in almost the exact same spot as Bharatt’s in the Heights of Aripo.
Keithisha Cudjoe, 21, from Harding Place, Cocorite was reported missing last Friday. Police said her body was identified by the clothing found and the hairstyle.
Her body was found in a forested area by a beekeeper who was setting swarm traps.
Investigations are being conducted by officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations.
On Monday night, Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar in remembering Bharatt’s death anniversary asked why the use of pepper spray was not yet implemented as women continue to be victims of perpetrators.
