THE Covid-19 deaths in Trinidad and Tobago cross 3,600.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1010) on Thursday reported seven more Covid-19 deaths and 654 new positive cases.
In addition, 132,843 boosters have been administered while 50.1% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The seven deaths included:
- 3 elderly men;
- 3 elderly women; and
- 1 middle-aged man
Three persons out of the seven had multiple comorbidities, one person had one comorbidity each, while three others had no known medical condition.
Some of the comorbidities included diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, hypercholesterolemia, Alzheimer’s and gout.

Total deaths by vaccination status as at February 16, 2022: 2,924 (not fully vaccinated), 230 (fully vaccinated), 390 prior to the vaccination programme.
Patients in hospital: 310

Total persons not fully vaccinated: 698,119
Boosters administered: 132,843
Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 12,860 or 83.5%, while 2,543 or 16.5% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to February 2, 2022.
