Covid-19 Case at TTT

AN individual associated with the Trinidad and Tobago Television Ltd (TTT) tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. 

In and internal memo obtained by AZPNews.com, TTT’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Roberts wished the internal stakeholder a speedy recovery adding that all necessary precautions have been put in place. 

Immediate actions were taken following the test results which included the stakeholder and primary contacts being required to self-isolate, the entire building located at Maraval Road, Newtown, Port-of-Spain was deep-cleaned and sanitised and Ministry of Health officials were informed and ongoing sanitisation will be intensified, the CEO stated.

Roberts  said, “We are doing everything within our ability and resources to continue to keep you as safe and healthy as possible at work. Still, with the increase in the positive cases of Covid-19 being transmitted before anyone knows they have been exposed, and with you only being at work for a fraction of your day, we all share the responsibility of remaining safe during this pandemic.”

Stakeholders were reminded to wear masks or other facial coverings, maintain social distance from others, diligently wash their hands upon entry or use hand sanitiser and to conduct health self-assessments  for known symptoms of Covid-19 before reporting to work. 

Roberts  also gave  the assurance that operations would not be affected.
