The operation, conducted between 2.15 am and 4.30 am on Friday, targeted a residence on Cemetery Street Extension, Caroni Savannah Road, where officers executed a search warrant as part of a broader effort to locate firearms and ammunition.

Instead, authorities discovered seven packages of compressed cannabis weighing 3.72 kilograms inside a small white plastic barrel. A subsequent search revealed a 515-gram block of cocaine hidden on the property.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Richard Smith coordinated the operation, which was led by Senior Superintendents Roger Alexander, Dave Spence, and Sookar. The team, supervised by Assistant Superintendent Ramharack and supported by units including the National Special Operations Task Force, K-9 Unit, and Warrant Officer Sergeant Smith, arrested the couple at the scene.
