EMPLOYEES in the construction and tourism sector will receive their dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday.
This according to a release from the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) on Tuesday.
Coordinators in the tourism and construction industries have been asked to collate the information for their respective sectors, regarding the number of willing persons for a smooth transition, starting Saturday.
The TRHA stated that, “Special arrangements are being made for persons in those sectors to receive their vaccines at designated times and locations.”
They also advised that workers in the construction and tourism sectors refrain from randomly showing up at health centers.
“Health centers are currently administering vaccines by appointment only and have started administering the second dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca and the second dose of the Sinopharn for priority groups,” the TRHA stated.
This list also includes older persons, people with non-communicable disease, health care workers, protective service officers, caregivers, teachers and other essential workers.
