CHIEF of Defence Staff Vice Marshal Darryl Daniel is not a person of interest in the ongoing firearms importation investigation.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) via a media release on Friday encouraged the public to trust reliable sources of information.
The TTPS stated it was aware of social media posts alluding to the arrest and interrogation of Daniel.
The release stated, “The TTPS wishes to inform the public that Air Vice Marshal Darryl Daniel, has neither been arrested nor interrogated and is not a person of interest in the ongoing firearms importation investigation led by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence and Investigations, Suzette Martin.”

It also stated that all updates on the matter available for public disclosure will be communicated through official channels via the Corporate Communications Unit of the TTPS.
