FROM today (Monday August 7, 2023) Caroni Savannah Road from the roundabout to the Caroni Flyover will be closed at night.
It will be re-opened from 4 am to 7 pm daily.
This is to facilitate road rehabilitation works, the Ministry of Works and Transport stated in a public notice on Monday.

The disruption will continue until November 20.
Hours of work are between the hours of 7 pm and 4 am during which the entire road would be closed to vehicular traffic.
Motorists are advised proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic, be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site, drive with caution on all milled surfaces and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.
The Ministry of Works and Transport apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its continued cooperation.
