THE Caroni Licensing Office is open.

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced on Monday morning that the Caroni Licensing Office has reopened after being closed last week due to severe weather.

In a release, the Ministry stated that persons affected by the temporary closure were not required to reschedule their appointments and will be accommodated during the period June 16 to 18.

The Ministry said to facilitate this process, proof of a previously scheduled appointment must be provided.

They reminded the public that persons must provide proof of address, in the form of a utility bill no older than three months is required. Suppose a customer does not pay a utility bill in their name. In that case, they must produce a Letter of Authorisation from the owner of the property, along with a copy of their national identification.

The Caroni Licensing Office was closed on June 12 and 13, due to the increased risk of localised flooding in the area brought on by last week’s inclement weather, which was caused by the passing of multiple Tropical Waves.
