MINISTER in the Ministry of Finance Brian Manning has contracted Covid-19.
He is currently in the High Dependency Unit at the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility.
This was confirmed by a source at the hospital on Saturday night.
He is said not to be in a critical condition but was receiving oxygen.
Reports also indicated that his wife media executive Shelly Dass also contracted Covid-19 but had mild symptoms and was in quarantine at their Port-of-Spain home.
Manning is also the MP for San Fernando East. His late father was former primer minister Patrick Manning.
He married Dass last December.
One PNM source said that Manning was fully vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
