THE Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) is warning citizens that no official Cabinet appointments have been made, and any list circulating online is false.
In a media release on Wednesday, the OPM stated that “no official Cabinet appointments have been made at this time,” It urged the public to disregard any names being shared on social media or other platforms claiming to be part of a new Cabinet.
The release stated, “Any information currently circulating online or via other platforms purporting to name members of the new Cabinet is entirely false and should be disregarded.”
It called on citizens to avoid sharing unverified information and to remain cautious about misinformation and disinformation. The OPM stated that official Cabinet announcements would only be made through verified government communication channels.
These include the official website and social media accounts of the Office of the Prime Minister – Communications. Such announcements will follow appointments made by the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Office of the Prime Minister reaffirms its commitment to credible governance and the dissemination of accurate public information.
