BARRACKPORE – A double murder has left the community in shock as homicide detectives investigate the brutal killings of Tara Ramsaroop and her 14-month-old daughter, Jada.
Initial reports indicate that both victims were found with their throats slit in their home on Rigg Road, off Rochard Road, around 11 am on Tuesday.
Police are currently searching for the suspect, identified as a close relative of the mother and child. According to police, the suspect reportedly set fire to his car following the incident and had plans to enter a nearby school to abduct another child. However, police were able to secure that child.
