ELECTRICTY has been restored to thousands of people following the passage of a weather system over the weekend.
A release from the Ministry of Public Utilities on Monday stated, “The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) reported a total of 421, small and large outages throughout the Commission’s Transmission and Distribution network have been restored, with less than 15 individual reports still outstanding which are being addressed at this time.”
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) reported that the operations of its 32 affected water treatment facilities have also been restored.
“Customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for service to be normalised across the distribution grid,” the release stated.
