POPULAR bake and shark fast food place at Maracas Bay, Asha’s has been burnt down.
AZPNews.com was told that the place was gutted by fire between 3am and 4am today (Thursday).
Richard Ferguson, of Richard’s Bake and Shark, who also has his spot on the beach, said when he showed up for work at 6am, he was told by the workers, the place had burnt down.
He said, “I feel very sorry for the loss. All of us here, we are trying as one to do what we have to do and it is really sad that that happened.”
Ferguson said arson may be suspected but was not sure and given that the place is outfitted with security cameras, law enforcement should be able to detect if any foul play was involved or if the incident occurred due to an electrical problem.
