AN Aranguez man succumbs to his injuries at hospital after being shot several times about the body in El Socorro on Tuesday night.
Police said they found 14 spent 9mm shells at the site at the corner of Maraj Street and El Socorro Road where Shalem Singh, of King Street, Aranguez, was found. He was also known as Fat Boy.
He was lying face down and still breathing and was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he died at 11.55am, police said.
Police were told that a gunman walked up to Singh, 27, and shot his multiple times. They said that the gunman then reloaded and shot Singh again before escaping.
Officers from the North Eastern Division Task Force received information about the shooting and arrived on the scene around 11.40 pm on Tuesday.
