The total number of active positive cases is now over 18,000 which is also the highest since the pandemic began.
And in another release, the ministry confirmed 28 new Omicron variants in persons, 18 of whom had no travel history. The total Omicron cases in T&T was now 56.
The ministry also reported that 103,605 boosters have been administered while 48.8% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
