Caption: Darrell Allahar is now Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister

THE Office of the Prime Minister now has an additional minister.
Attorney Darrell Allahar was appointed to the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday.
He was sworn in by President Christine Kangaloo during a ceremony at the President’s House in St Ann’s.
Allahar was sworn in together with former footballer and opposition senator David Nakhid who will take up portfolio as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.
Allahar, a prominent member of the United National Congress (UNC) has served as chairman of the party’s election management committee.
He will join Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Barry Padarath and Parliamentary Secretary Wilfred Nicholas Morris.

Nakhid will join Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Phillip Watts.
