Al-Rawi Leaves Country, Young Acts as AG

ATTORNEY GENERAL Faris Al-Rawi has left the country for “high level meetings.”

A release from the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs on Saturday evening stated:

“The Honourable Faris Al-Rawi, MP, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs will be travelling out of Trinidad and Tobago to conduct high level meetings with state agencies and legal advisors in relation to ongoing matters of state.

“As a result, the Honourable Stuart Young, MP will act in the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs from Saturday 13th November, 2021, in addition to the discharge of his normal duties.”

Young is also the minister of energy and energy industries and minister in the Office of the Prime Minister.

No details were given where Al-Rawi was going.
