After Sexual Assault Charge, George Reveals Marriage Plans

TWO days after he was charged with sexual assault, attorney Martin George has revealed his fiancée to the public and announced a wedding date.
George, 58, who is also the president of the Tobago Business Chamber of Commerce, was released on bail following his arrest at his Port of Spain office on Tuesday.
He held a press conference on Thursday at his office to speak about the issue.

George who introduced his fiancée as Alicia said to her, “God did not make us to break us. He may twist us, bend us and put us through the fire but he did not make us to break us.”
He said, “And our wedding will proceed on 27th of December as promised and we hope to see as many media people there as we have here today.”

George, a prominent attorney and a vocal voice for the community was arrested following an investigation by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) into a report of grievous sexual assault and indecent assault that took place at his office.
On Wednesday, High Court Judge Master Indira Chinebas granted George $150,000 bail when he appeared to answer to the charges.
