THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level for Trinidad and Tobago.
On Saturday afternoon, the Met Office said the alert has been issued from Sunday between 2am to 6pm.
TTMS stated, “Periods of rain and/or showers are expected from early morning (15th). There is a high (70%) chance that some of the rainfall activity may become heavy and thundery with the threat of gusty winds.”
In addition, street/flash flooding and localised ponding are likely in heavy downpours with the likelihood of landslides/landslips in areas so prone.
Officials warned that seas can become agitated at times in sheltered areas.
