THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level for Trinidad and Tobago.
In an update this afternoon the Met Office said the alert has been issued from today (July 8) at 2.20pm and ending July 9 at 4pm.
The MET Office indicated that, “There is a high chance (80%) of wind gusts in excess of 55 km/hr in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms associated with the passage of a Tropical Wave. Street flooding is also likely in heavy downpours.”
In addition, the MET Office has advised that persons take necessary precautions and secure their items and livestock.
Trinidad and Tobago may be affected by the feeder bands from the storm.
