TRINIDAD and Tobago is on a yellow weather alert from Thursday morning.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service warns that the alert will be in effect until Friday at 8 am.
The TTMS stated, “The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to become very active over Trinidad and Tobago from early morning tomorrow, Thursday 1st October 2020.This abundance of moisture and favourable upper level conditions, in addition to the passage of a tropical wave, will create very unstable conditions over our area.
“As such, periods of showers and rain are likely in most areas and occasional thunderstorm activity can be expected as well. Accompanying this shower activity will be a surge of winds in the low levels which will promote very gusty conditions, particularly during heavy showers and thunderstorms.”
