Zouks’ bowlers Scott Kuggeleijn and Roston Chase took two wickets a piece to help stifle the Tridents’ batting lineup.

An ESPN Cricinfo commentator said, “It got surprisingly dark all around the southern area of Trinidad. Came out of nowhere.”

The umpires then instructed ground staff to bring on the covers at 11.30am.

At 11.45 am, the rain was said to be “pelting down now.”

For the next game, Trinbago Knight Riders will face off against the Jamaica Tallawahs at the same venue, from 5:30pm.
