AFTER lifting restrictions to allow the manufacturing sector to open back, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley visits four manufacturers.
On Wednesday, Rowley visited Caribbean Packaging Industries, Nestle, TYE Manufacturing and VEMCO.
On May 21, 2020 the manufacturing sector in Trinidad and Tobago was given the all-clear to return to work as the country entered phase two of the opening up of the economy in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A release from the Office of the Prime Minister stated, “Prime Minister heard from manufacturers regarding the measures they have implemented in response to Covid-19 and the strides they are making to ensure production.”
The prime minister was accompanied on the visits by Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Agriculture Dr John Alleyne.
