Padarath Meets with Shell

MINISTER of Public Utilities Barry Padarath has met with senior officials from Shell Trinidad and Tobago to discuss opportunities for partnership on future projects.

A press release from the Ministry of Public Utilities on Wednesday stated that Senior Vice President and Country Chair for Shell Trinidad and Tobago Adam Lowmass and Head of Corporate Relations at Shell Trinidad and Tobago and Country Chair in the English Caribbean Candice Clarke Salloum paid Padarath a courtesy visit at the Ministry on Tuesday.

“Discussions explored opportunities for partnership on future projects, with a shared focus on strengthening implementation and achieving greater efficiency,” the release stated.

It was further stated that Padarath noted the Cabinet’s recent “decision to establish an Inter-Ministerial Committee mandated to review legislative, policy, and operational matters, with the aim of harmonising projects across ministries, improving implementation rates, reducing costs, and eliminating duplication.”

The release stated both parties reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration and working closely together to ensure opportunities turn into “concrete results.”

“Both parties expressed optimism that these efforts will contribute to the Government’s thrust towards a stronger, more resilient economy while delivering tangible benefits to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago,” the Ministry stated.
