TOBAGO is soon to get a new emergency hotline and a mobile app.
It should become active this week announced Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Farley Augustine.
That number will be 639-HELP (4357) and will be used in conjunction with 999 and the mobile app is called “Safe Tobago.”
The decision to have the number comes after a high-level security meeting with top officials in Tobago as Trinidad and Tobago remains under an SoE.
Augustine said the THA was providing a number specific for the island through the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).
The line should be active 24/7 to ensure a quick response to security challenmges on the island, he said.
