THE search for 22-year-old Candice Honore ended tragically on Thursday morning as a body believed to be hers was found chopped, stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a pond.

The black suitcase was discovered at around 6.30 am submerged in a pond at the corner of Oropouche Road and Brook Haven Avenue, in Valencia.

Her body was found by members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Vallence Rambharat.

Honore was last seen on July 7 and reported missing to the Manzanilla Police Station on July 11.

The young woman was last seen wearing a blue demin shorts and an oversized black t-shirt.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) had asked the public for help in locating Honore.

Investigations are still underway.
