ANOTHER businessman has been murdered.
The victim has been identified as Suresh Moonsammy, the owner of Big Wave Auto in Bamboo Settlement, Valsayn.
Moonsammy, 40, also known as “Zorro”, was shot in Freeport while sitting in his vehicle.
Police reports are that Mission Road residents reported hearing gunshots at around 9.30 pm on Friday.
They observed a white Isuzu one and a half-ton van crashed into the fence of someone’s house and it was later discovered that the driver – Moonsammy, was found with several gunshot wounds in the vehicle. He died at the scene.
Officers of the Central Division Task Force visited the area.
Crime scene investigators recovered 18 spent 9 mm shells and four deformed bullets at the scene.
Moonsammy’s body was taken to a funeral home pending an autopsy on Monday.
The vehicle was towed to the Freeport Police Station.
On Tuesday, the owner of MCM Garage and Vehicle Testing Station in Barataria, Vernon Guischard,67, was killed when an intruder entered his home at Pine-Ridge NUGFW Housing Development, Lopinot Road, Arouca.
He was found with wounds to his head.
A suspect is in police custody for that murder.
