PRIME Minister of India Narendra Modi presented Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar with sacred gifts from India.
Modi posted a video on his social media pages presenting a Ram Mandir replica and waters from the Saryu to Persad-Bissessar.

Modi made the presentation at a dinner hosted by Persad-Bissessar at the Diplomatic Centre in St Anns.
The caption for the video stated, “At a dinner hosted by PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar, PM Modi presented a replica of the Ram Mandir and sacred water from River Saryu in Ayodhya and Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, a powerful symbol of India’s deep spiritual and cultural bond with Trinidad & Tobago.”
During a Diaspora Community event held at the National Cycling Velodrome in Couva on Thursday evening, Modi said he hoped that Persad-Bissessar would offer the water on behalf of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
At the dinner, Modi was treated to local Indian cuisine including doubles.
At the Diaspora Community event, Modi mentioned doubles and dhalpuri saying it must be magical, adding that successes in Trinidad and Tobago had doubled.
Modi’s official events continue on Friday with the conferment of the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, an address to Parliament, an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing and a tree planting ceremony.
