ANIL Kamal is now the chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC).
Kamal, along with new members of the board received their official letters of appointment on Wednesday during a formal ceremony held at the Cabildo Building in Port of Spain the Ministry of Public Utilities stated in a media release.
The other newly appointed members are:

• Ravita Babwah
• Kevin Gurbani Beepath
• Curtis Boodoo
• Dana Mahase
• Roshan Tota Maharaj
• Taramatie Mongroo
• Gerrard Small
Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath encouraged the new board to turn its attention to increasing productivity.
He also emphasised the importance of sound governance and strategic oversight as essential tools in strengthening the commission’s long-term sustainability.
