AS the rains and the rising floodwaters continue, school supervisors remain in contact with all school principals.
Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath said on Friday morning that the closure of schools was being treated on a case-by-case basis.
On Thursday, 67 of the 763 schools in Trinidad were closed.
“The physical safety of students, teachers and all workers in schools is of high priority,” he said.
On Friday morning, Form Six pupils will write their final Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) exam which is Communication Studies.
Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Khadijah Ameen said at a post-Cabinet media briefing on Thursday that priority will be given to ensure that pupils writing exams reach their examination centres.
