APART from government assisting citizens affected by flooding, several agencies have also stepped up to lend a helping hand.
Non-profit organisation SEWA TT has launched its donation drive with Subway.
In a flyer being circulated, information is being shared on how someone can sponsor a meal for just $20.
Persons can visit any Subway location during June 12 to June 22 and inform the cashier that they would like to donate a “Sewa Sub.” Persons should receive a receipt for their donation.
The flyer states, “Sewa TT will collect all donated sandwiches from Subway and distribute them to flood-affected areas.”
It stated, “Your $20 donation makes a direct impact! Together we can make a difference.”
S&S Persad Supermarket has put together flood relief packages in the Rio Claro, Mayaro and Freeport areas where their branches are located.

Affected individuals can contact us via our hotline numbers, and their request will be reviewed for a complimentary flood relief package.
“We’re here to support you through this difficult time,” the supermarket stated on its Facebook page.
