ADRIAN Barran is the new chairman of the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS) board.
Barran along with others were appointed to the board on Monday at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Public Utilities Head Office in St Clair, Port of Spain.
Barran is a seasoned leader in health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE), with over 17 years of experience across the oil and gas, petrochemical, aviation, health, and regulatory sectors, the ministry stated in a media release.

In his address to the newly appointed directors, Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath, thanked them for their willingness to serve the people of Trinidad and Tobago, and encouraged them to carry out their mandate with the highest level of professionalism.
He also mentioned the critical role played by MTS in the security and maintenance of public buildings, highlighting that the renovation and construction of schools nationwide was a key component of the company’s mandate.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities Clyde Elder and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Public Utilities Shivanna Sam.
