PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley meets with newly appointed chief executive officer of BP Bernard Looney at company’s London headquarters in London on Tuesday.
According to a release from the Office of the Prime Minister, Looney, who was appointed as CEO last month was previously responsible for BP’s Upstream business, also met with Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Franklin Khan and Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister the Stuart Young.
BP’s Executive Vice President, Regions, Cities and Solutions William Lin and BP’s Executive Vice President, Gas and Low Carbon Energy Dev Sanyal were also at the meeting.
The release stated, “The Prime Minister and Mr Looney reaffirmed their commitment to the strengthening of the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and BP. Trinidad and Tobago remains an important part of BP’s global portfolio.”
It noted that “discussions included talks on the future of renewable energy and the possible partnership in this area, the ongoing negotiations between the parties, including, but not limited to NGC and domestic gas pricing and the restructuring of Atlantic LNG.”
